SDF promises protecting Art 371F, jobs, pension for unmarried, reserved seat in Assembly for Limboo-Tamang community

Chamling assured that his party stands firm on the Limboo-Tamang seat reservation in Sikkim Legislative Assembly and expansion of the 32-seat state Assembly to 40 seats.

Sikkim’s opposition party Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) has promised jobs, seat reservation for the Limboo-Tamang community, pension for the unmarried, doubling pension for the old and above all, protection of Article 371 F if voted to power in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Releasing the manifesto today, former Sikkim Chief Minister and SDF President Pawan Chamling promised to protect the rights and interests of the Sikkimese people by protecting Article 371F and Rule 4(4).

Chamling assured that his party stands for Limboo-Tamang seat reservation in Sikkim Legislative Assembly and expansion of the 32-seat state Assembly to 40 seats.

Chamling promised to double old age pension. They also announce to restart pension for the unmarried, Rs. 20,000 per month for widow pension and Rs. 20,000 per month for differently abled people.

Chamling also announced fifty percent reservation for women in government jobs and higher education.

Chamling said that women will get fifty percent reservation in government jobs and higher education in the upcoming government.

SDF president further announced that MGNREGA workers shall be declared regular government employees and daily wages will be raised to Rs 500, and MGNREGA work will be extended to 200 days.

Chamling also promised to increase both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha seats from 1 to 2.
