Sikkim CM and SKM chief PS Tamang released the party manifesto and also officially launched the party's election campaign

As Sikkim is bracing for elections to the 30-Assembly constituencies and the lone Lok Sabha seat, the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) today released the party’s election manifesto.

CM PS Tamang released the manifesto at a public meeting in Soreng district.

The SKM in it’s manifesto has mentioned about ‘9 Gurantees’-
(1)-Protection of 371 (F)
(2)-Golden Future of Youth
(3)-Women Empowerment through 50% government job reservation for women
(4) -Prosperous Sikkim
(5)Healthy Sikkim-Health Insurance for every citizen
(6)-Educated Sikkim
(7)- Agriculture sector
(8)-Welfare schemes for every citizen
(9)- Good Administration

But what makes the 9 Gurantees termed as “Golay Ko 9 guarantee” more special is the fact that it has been mentioned in a non-judicial paper and signed by none other than CM PS Tamang.

Besides, the Chief Minister who is also the SKM president officially kickstarted the party’s election campaign ‘Vijayee Bhava’ at Chakung under Chakung-Soreng constituency.

Speaking excusively to Northeast Live, CM Tamang said, “I have signatured the 9 gurantee, because my signature is my guarantee. To authenticate it, I have signed it. I am fully confident (victory).”

Meanwhile, in a post on social media CM Tamang on his 9 Gurantees said, “It was an honor to unveil our comprehensive election manifesto for 2024 election, outlining our vision for the forthcoming five years. Our manifesto, encapsulating the “Golay Ko 9 guarantee,” reflects our unwavering commitment to the people, assuring them that every promise will be earnestly fulfilled by our government.”

The Sikkim CM’s reaction was also sought on many speculating that there will be cross voting in the Lok Sabha election.

To this the Sikkim CM said, “There will be no cross voting because our candidate has done lot of works during his 5 years tenure and since we are winning in every assembly constituency, our MP candidate will certainly get the votes. There is no question of cross voting.”
