Sikkim: SKM expels Khushendra Sharma, Sharma files nomination as Independent candidate from Gyalshing Barnyak

The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) has expelled party leader Khushendra Sharma for allegedly indulging in anti-party activities.
SKM in a statement said that Sharma has been expelled from his post and primary membership of the party on March 25.
“His post of District level, Coordinator and primary membership shall stand as null and void from the party”, said SKM.
Soon after being ousted from SKM, Sharma filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the Gyalshing Barnyak assembly constituency.
Sharma is a resident of Bermoik Berthang. He will contest against SKM’s Lok Nath Sharma, BJP’s Tika Nepal, Congress candidate Srayes Subba, and CAP’s Pujan Kharka (Chettri).
Voting for the 32-member Sikkim Assembly will be held on April 19 and counting will take place on June 2.
