Meghalaya: Fmr CEM of GHADC and NPP leader Dinang T Sangma quits party, joins Cong ahead of Lok Sabha Poll 2024

A meeting will be held this evening to welcome him and his supporters to BJP in Williamnagar

Former Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) and leader of Conrad Sangma-led National People’s Party (NPP), Dinang T Sangma today resigned from the party and joined the Congress ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the state.

He and his supporters joined the Congress at his residence boosting the Congress’ candidate for the Tura Lok Sabha seat, Saleng Sangma’s hope.

A meeting will be held this evening to welcome him and his supporters to BJP in Williamnagar.

Dinang T Sangma was with NPP since 2013.

Earlier, last week, around 2,000 leaders and workers of NPP, TMC and BJP joined the Congress in Meghalaya.
