A’chal Assembly polls: BJP releases names, CM Khandu to contest from Mukto, DCM Mein from Chowkham

The list of 60 names includes 4 women, and names of recent BJP joinees like Khonsa West MLA Chakot Aboh and former Congress leader Ninong Ering
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday announced the list of all 60 candidates for the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Elections. Chief Minister Pema Khandu would be contesting from Mukto for another term and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein will contest from Chowkham.
The names of the 60 candidates and their constituencies were cleared by the Central Election Committee of the BJP at its meeting on March 11 in New Delhi held under the presidentship of party president JP Nadda. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minsiter Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other members of the CEC.



The list includes the names of four women candidates – Nyabi Jini Dirchi from Basar seat, Chakat Aboh from Khonsa West seat, Dasanglu Pul from Hayuliang and Tshering Lhamu from Lumla seat.
