Speaking to the media, on Sunday, Kharkrang said, “Public would want to know from from the government what emergency situation arose that warranted the extension of the terms of the district councils. You cannot extend the terms of the district council on flimsy grounds, there has to be some valid reasons. We are waiting for the government to come clean on that.”
