Manipur: Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra resumes from Sekmai

Gandhi will hold a short interaction with locals at Gamgi-phai, he will also meet and greet people along the way.
Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi has resumed his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Sekmai today after halting for the night at the buffer zone.
As pet inputs, the Yatra will pass through Kangpokpi and Senapati districts today before entering Nagaland.
Along the way, in Kangpokpi, Gandhi will hold a short interaction with locals at Gamgi-phai, he will also meet and greet people along the way.
Later on in Senapati district, the yatra will stop at the district headquarters for a public reception.
In Gamgiphai preparations have already been made to receive the Yatra.
Earlier last night, people of Sekmai holding Meira (torch) in their hands welcomed Rahul Gandhi. On reaching Sekmai the Congress leader continued the yatra holding a Meira in his hand.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was kicked off from the Khongjom War Memorial Complex, in Manipur’s Thoubal on April 14.
Gandhi along with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge kicked off the Yatra in presence of other senior leaders of the party and supporters.
The march which started from Thoubal will culminate in Mumbai after passing through several states including Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. The ‘Yatra’ will conclude on March 20th after covering a distance of 6,713 km passing through 15 states and 110 districts.
Rahul Gandhi is looking at reviving the political fortunes of the party through the yatra which will majorly cover the Hindi heartland states apart from the Northeast.
Addressing supporters ahead of the Yatra, Rahul lashed out at the BJP for allegedly being indifferent to the situation in Manipur.
